Together with Jasper Hermans (Aan de Poel) and Thomas Kooijman (Mos, Bar Alt), the Dutch South African female chef Margot Janse is responsible for the kitchen of SAAM. They serve dishes from Dutch ingredients with a South African touch in the very tastefully decorated glass building on the Amstel. Add to that the (wine) taste of Koen van der Plas (Inter Scaldes) and Max van Bockel (Rijks) and you have a line-up that you can’t resist. SAAM serves a chef’s menu and a-la-carte dishes and has an attractive bar on the first floor overlooking the Amstel where you can also enjoy a bite and a glass of wine and of course a terrace on the Amstel in the summer.
