Discover National Fire Brigade Museum

When the first tall buildings were built in the city of Rotterdam, the fire brigade needed vehicles with larger, stronger pumps. For example, the city bought seven Ahrens-Foxes in the US. The vehicles were used from 1928.

Important collection piece
The bombing of June 14, 1940 destroyed one of the vehicles. Today there are still six Ahrens-Foxes in the Netherlands. Ahrens-Fox no. 2 is displayed completely ready for use in the Hellevoetsluis Fire Museum and is one of the important collection items related to fire fighting in the Netherlands.
