In the house, named Koningshuis after the last occupant, ‘t Heer en Feer has arranged a modest exhibition with elements from various aspects of the island’s cultural history. There is a corner in front of the beach posts, a display case with painted jugs by Luitjen Elles, a small library with books about the island, bound village messengers and scrapbooks of Henk Koning’s field trips, models of ferries and information about whaling, the nautical school, the island language and the Vredenhof. Films from the island’s past are screened in a dark room.
