In the Thermenmuseum in Heerlen you will find the oldest stone building in the Netherlands; the impressive remains of a Roman bathhouse, the thermal baths. It is the best-preserved Roman (public) bath building in the Netherlands.
The museum also has a varied collection of utensils from the Roman era, originating from Coriovallum – the Roman city that lies below Heerlen
