Gemeentemuseum Het Sterkenhuis focuses in particular on the cultural history of the municipality of Bergen. Pearls from the collection are showpieces from various centuries; from textiles to silver to drawings and paintings. Each object is unique or tells a special story.
About a skirt in perfect condition that has not been washed for 250 years, an urn from the year one thousand or bullets from the Battle of Bergen in 1799. There was literally fights in front of Het Sterkenhuis.
